Why write “Rainbow Realty of Fresno County”?

First allow me to quote an excerpt from a “White Page” written by mysearchguru.com regarding “The Online Gay Market”….

….According to a recent study, the gay population (including both gay men and lesbian women) in the United States is 16.5 million, with the buying power of $27.3K per capita (Selig Center for Economic Growth, University of Georgia).

Gays are twice as likely to have a household income over $60,000, and twice as likely to have even higher disposable income (Socratic Research and Greenfield Online).

81% use the Internet more than once a day, and more than half spend up to three hours a day online.

Research conducted by Computer Economics in 1999 forecast that the worldwide gay Internet population will increase from 9.2 million users in 1999 to 17.1 million in 2005.

And, a study done in 1998 by Simmons Market Research Bureau, shows that of the gay population, 62% own a personal computer, and 52% use and/or subscribe to online services.

Unfortunately, if you go to many of the search engines and type in the keyword “gay,” more often than not you will find yourself at a sex site. Obviously, a tremendous amount of the online gay market is not being reached.

I am a gay man, living in Fresno Ca, and doing what I love most…Helping people find their “dream home”. In recent years it has become increasingly obvious to me, that there has been a shortage of “gay friendly” Real Estate websites on the Internet. It stands to reason that people practicing a GLBT lifestyle may feel more comfortable working with a gay or “gay friendly” Real Estate Agent.
